Email Etiquette

when you are Emailing your teacher then you must use proper etiquette. Don't use slang like shortening words.  You should use proper words and keep them their proper length.. You should also use a proper introduction to your email. Don't forget the subject and be respectful.always sign your name at the end of your mail. I learned about a hyper doc  and how it is used. Always have a subject line so that your teacher or any one else knows what you are talking about.

The Wonder of Wonder

This year the grade sixes have read  a book called "Wonder". We started reading this book in the beginning of the year. It is a very interesting book. The book is about a boy with a deformed face and starts school for the first time.

The book "Wonder" is a very interesting book. It is about a boy named August who was born with a deformed face. August has an older sister who's name is Olivia but August call's her Via and she call's him Auggie. 

The part that stood out for me is when Auggie makes friends with Summer and Jack because it was the first time that Auggie wen't to a proper school and not be home schooled.i feel like this book has chainged me. That I should not juge a person by the way they look or by their first impressions. I would identify myself as Summer because i like to make friends no matter what they look like.

I would recommend this book because it is a very interesting book and you will get sucked into it no matter who you are.  

Time with the Grade 4s

On Wednesday we went to the Grade 4 Guinea fowls class and we spoke about the safety of messaging and how it can be confusing in some ways. I was paired up with one of my friends and we had a tone of laughs.Most of the time we spoke about messaging and the dangers of it but most of the time we played and laughed. I found it fun to teach her and show her new things and she said that she liked all of the emoji's that were on the page. They were very kind to us and we were kind back. when we started to talk about mind full messaging they payed so much attention to what we were saying. we took a long time on what we were saying and the we finally moved on to facial expression.

  

Hopes and Dreams for 2017

  My dream is to fly to Germany and to France.  My dream is to swim with dolphins on my birthday.My dream is to earn how to surf.My dream is to go sking .My dream is to climb Table Mountain again.My dream is to go to Paris and go to the to of the Eiffel tower. My dream is to learn how to speak German.My dream is to sky dive.My dream is to go  deep sea diving.My dream is to go  bungee jumping.

hippo diary

This task was so much fun I can't beleve my parents let me keep a hippo. 

Hippo diary

22June 2016: I don't now how but my mom said that I could keep the hippo for 3 days. I decided to teach mackenzie how to roll over. But I now see that was a bad idea because she ended rolling over and flattened the plants and me. It was not very pleasant. Actually it was very saw. Then there was a body shaped dent in the ground . Then  I heard mom and dad's car pull into the drive way. Then I looked back at the grass and then I looked at the neighbor's yard and so I got a shovel and started digging and digging and digging. Then mom and dad walked in to the back yard just as I finished. 

23June 2016: Mom and dad found out what had happened to the garden when they saw the dent of my body in the ground and when they saw the neighbor's lawn. I was punished harshly for a long time. I was not allowed to leave my room for the rest of the week. My parents said i could leave my room that day . My friend came to my house house to play with me and mackenzie. We had a lot of fun. When I got home I played with Mackenzie. The next  morning I got a note from my mom to say"I found mackenzie in my room and on the bed". I could tell mom was not happy.

24June2016: Today was the last day and mom and dad have had just about enough of mackenzie. But the neighbors said they are also not happy with the the holes in their back yard. Then I heard a crunching noise inside the house.so I ran inside the house to take a look. But I fell flat on my face. When I got inside the house Mackenzie was eating the couch. Then mom came in and screamed the word "OUT!!!". I saw the rage in mom's eyes and I knew we had to get rid of Mackenzie. I was sad but it was her last day anyway. So mom and I went on a walk and when we were at the same ally I found Mackenzie I saw her family and they looked happy to see her.
