This task was so much fun I can't beleve my parents let me keep a hippo. 

Hippo diary

22June 2016: I don't now how but my mom said that I could keep the hippo for 3 days. I decided to teach mackenzie how to roll over. But I now see that was a bad idea because she ended rolling over and flattened the plants and me. It was not very pleasant. Actually it was very saw. Then there was a body shaped dent in the ground . Then  I heard mom and dad's car pull into the drive way. Then I looked back at the grass and then I looked at the neighbor's yard and so I got a shovel and started digging and digging and digging. Then mom and dad walked in to the back yard just as I finished. 

23June 2016: Mom and dad found out what had happened to the garden when they saw the dent of my body in the ground and when they saw the neighbor's lawn. I was punished harshly for a long time. I was not allowed to leave my room for the rest of the week. My parents said i could leave my room that day . My friend came to my house house to play with me and mackenzie. We had a lot of fun. When I got home I played with Mackenzie. The next  morning I got a note from my mom to say"I found mackenzie in my room and on the bed". I could tell mom was not happy.

24June2016: Today was the last day and mom and dad have had just about enough of mackenzie. But the neighbors said they are also not happy with the the holes in their back yard. Then I heard a crunching noise inside the house.so I ran inside the house to take a look. But I fell flat on my face. When I got inside the house Mackenzie was eating the couch. Then mom came in and screamed the word "OUT!!!". I saw the rage in mom's eyes and I knew we had to get rid of Mackenzie. I was sad but it was her last day anyway. So mom and I went on a walk and when we were at the same ally I found Mackenzie I saw her family and they looked happy to see her.

I chose this poem because if you look you look carefully it almost looks like they are like a little bomb exploding.

Hi my name is Francesca and I am so unhappy because I woke up on a dirty and cold floor. My house is made out of scrap meta and it is very small. There is lots of litter and not a lot of space out side. When it is a hot day and I am in my house I feel like I am in an oven and when it is night I feel like I am in a ice-cube because it is so cold. There is no water on my house so I have to go fetch it from a river and there is a lot of germs. It is hard to get a job to make money and there is no toilets in my house.



There is a lot of kids in my class and there is only one teacher.
When I have time to play I will play with a soccer ball and talk to my friends.


If there is is a time this is what I want a better place like a better home and better food and more water and better schools and better bathrooms and more space between the houses and better proper houses and electricity and less litter and Windows and blankets and fire proof houses and roads and more space and shoes and better clothes and more cars and tv.
